A, The incidence of CIA is indicated as the percentage of mice developing a clinical arthritis score of more than 1. B, The clinical arthritis scores were evaluated using a scoring system as follows: 0 = normal, 1 = erythema and swelling of one digit, 2 = erythema and swelling of more than two digits or mild erythema and swelling of the entire paw, 3 = progressively more severe erythema and swelling of the entire paw, 4 = severe swelling and erythema with lack of flexibility. The open circles indicate the no-treated CIA mice (n=35) and the closed circles indicate the moxibustion-treated CIA mice (n=32). The data represent the mean ア・SEM. Significant differences from the no-treated CIA mice are indicated with *p<0.05 and **p<0.01. |
